Rules to Minimize Errors in Algo Trading on Tradetron:

  1. Daily Morning Check (9 AM): Ensure your API token is renewed on Tradetron and that your broker account is authorized. Verify fund availability and ensure all deployed algos are in active mode.
  2. Entry and Exit Rules: We recommend using the Tradetron live auto mode, as other methods may result in inaccurate P&L records. Always exit positions through Tradetron, except in the case of Tradetron errors. Do not start the algo during market hours, as it may result in different entry points.
  3. Paper Trading: Run all strategies in paper trading mode first to understand their behavior. Since paper trading does not account for slippage, you should test the strategy in live offline mode for a few days before going live.
  4. Broker and API: You can use any broker linked to Tradetron. Please confirm API charges and brokerage details with your broker. If you experience frequent errors during live auto mode, it may be an issue with your broker.

Additional Information:

All investments in the stock market carry the risk of capital loss. We do not guarantee any returns or predict the outcomes of any trades. Our algorithms are designed to assist with trading by automating strategies based on market conditions, but there are no guarantees of success. In Algo Trading, there may be technical issues, slippage, or other unforeseen challenges. We encourage you to monitor your account regularly to identify any significant deviations. Always consult a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

General Rules and Information:

  1. Past Performance: Good past performance does not guarantee future results. It is essential not to discontinue an algorithm purely based on short-term underperformance, as the strategy may revert to expected performance over time.
  2. Slippage: Slippage can occur in live trades due to execution delays, and it is important to account for this when comparing live results with paper trading results.
