Build a trading strategy with Claude.

Add Tradetron to Claude as a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.tradetron.tech/mcp, sign in with your Tradetron account, and describe your strategy in plain English. Claude builds it in your Tradetron account, checks every field, and can backtest it in the same chat. Custom connectors work on Claude's Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, and the connector never places an order.

    Open Connectors
    In Claude on the web (claude.ai) or in Claude Desktop, go to Customize › Connectors.

    Add a custom connector
    Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. [ 03 ]
    Paste the Tradetron URL
    Name it Tradetron, enter https://mcp.tradetron.tech/mcp as the remote MCP server URL, and click Continue.

    Keep the sign-in settings
    Tradetron signs you in with OAuth, so there is no key to paste. Keep the authentication settings Claude detects, click Continue, then click Add.

    Sign in with Tradetron
    Sign in on Tradetron's own page and approve access. Claude never sees your password, and you can remove the connector at any time.

    Switch it on and ask
    In a chat, click + at the lower left, open Connectors and switch Tradetron on. Then describe your strategy, for example "Build a NIFTY weekly short straddle that exits at 30% profit".

An Owner adds it once
An Owner or Primary Owner goes to Organization settings › Connectors, clicks Add, hovers over Custom and selects Web, then enters https://mcp.tradetron.tech/mcp. Each member then opens Customize › Connectors, finds Tradetron and clicks Connect to sign in with their own Tradetron account.

Runs the backtest on Tradetron and returns the report link. You confirm first if it costs credits.

Reads the strategy's engine notifications and broker log and tells you which condition stopped it.

03 · Your account

What it does in your account, and what it never does.

What happens
  • Every strategy Claude builds is saved as a strategy template in your Tradetron account. You can open, read and edit it in the Strategy Builder like any other.
  • A backtest can be charged from your Tradetron wallet at the usual fee. You are asked to confirm before a charged backtest runs.
  • It can deploy a strategy in Live Offline, which runs on live prices and sends no orders. Nothing goes live without you: connecting a broker and going live is a step you take yourself on tradetron.tech.
What it never does
  • It never places a live order and never sends anything to your broker.
  • It gives no investment advice. It will not tell you what to trade, and a backtest is not a forecast.
  • It never sees your password: you sign in on Tradetron's own page, and every tool works only on your own account.

Claude and Tradetron, answered.

Can Claude build a trading strategy for me?
Yes, with the Tradetron connector. You describe the rules in plain English, and Claude builds them as a real strategy in your Tradetron account, checks every field, and can backtest it from the same chat. Without a connector, Claude can only write rules or code that you then have to set up yourself.
Which Claude plans can add the Tradetron connector?
All of them: Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. Free plans are limited to one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise an Owner adds it for the organisation first, and then each member connects with their own Tradetron account.
Is it free?
Connecting is free. The thinking runs on your Claude plan. Backtests and other actions you run through it are charged at your usual Tradetron fees, the same as on the website, and you confirm before a charged backtest runs.
Can Claude place trades with my money?
No. The connector can build, backtest, edit and explain strategies, and deploy them in Live Offline, which runs on live prices without sending any order. Going live with a broker stays with you, on tradetron.tech.
Will Claude tell me which strategy to trade?
No. Neither Claude nor Tradetron gives investment advice. Claude builds and tests the rules you describe; a backtest shows how those rules behaved on past data and is not a forecast.
Does it work in Claude Desktop, Claude Code and the mobile app?
Yes. Add it on claude.ai or in Claude Desktop and it is tied to your Claude account, so the Claude apps can use it too. In Claude Code, add it with one command: claude mcp add --transport http tradetron https://mcp.tradetron.tech/mcp.
Is Tradetron in Claude's connectors directory?
Not yet. Until the one-click listing is live, add Tradetron as a custom connector with the URL https://mcp.tradetron.tech/mcp. It is the same connector either way.
