What you can trade
US stocks, ETFs and options. Exchanges in Tradetron's broker catalog for Alpaca: NYSE, Nasdaq, Cboe BZX Options and Cboe Options Exchange.
How it trades
Your strategy runs on Tradetron and sends its orders to your own Alpaca account through the connection you approve. Your money stays at Alpaca; Tradetron never holds client funds.
Test first
Add Alpaca PaperTrading from the broker list with the API key and secret of your Alpaca paper account. Live Offline also runs a strategy on live prices and records every entry and exit without sending an order.
Price
The free plan lets you build a strategy and run it in Live Offline. Paid US plans add live trading, from $15 a month (Starter, 1 live strategy). Alpaca's own commissions and fees still apply. See pricing.
Building a strategy
No code: the strategy builder, the Option Wizard for multi-leg options, or plain English through Tradetron's connector for Claude and ChatGPT (how it works).

03 · Questions

Asked about Alpaca and Tradetron.

Can I automate options trading on Alpaca with Tradetron?
Yes. Tradetron's broker catalog lists Alpaca for US stocks and ETFs (NYSE and Nasdaq) and US options (Cboe). You build the option legs, entries and exits in Tradetron without code, and the strategy sends its orders to your Alpaca account. Your Alpaca account needs options trading approved at the level the strategy trades.
How does Tradetron connect to Alpaca?
Through SnapTrade, a broker-connection service. In Tradetron you add Alpaca under Brokers & Exchanges and click Connect; a SnapTrade window opens, you sign in to Alpaca and approve access. Risk disclosure. Trading stocks and options carries a substantial risk of loss, and options can lose their full value quickly. Automated strategies can place orders you did not expect; check a strategy in Live Offline before it trades real money. Tradetron is a software platform, not a broker or an investment adviser, and nothing on this page is investment advice. Alpaca is a separate company; its names and marks belong to it.
