Positional Index Option Buying

Strategy description

Strategy Overview

This is a Nifty Options Buy Strategy. It does not trade daily; entry is initiated in next-week options at a ₹100 premium. Approximately 2–3 trades per month.

Risk & Reward

  1. Max loss per trade: ₹3,750 (50 points), though large overnight gaps may increase this.
  2. Max gain per trade: ₹33,000 (450 points).
  3. Trailing stop-loss kicks in after 100 points of unrealized gain.

Capital Requirement

₹70,000 for a 1× position.

Daily Morning 9 AM Check

  1. Renew your API token on Tradetron’s broker & exchange page; regenerate and authorize if needed.
  2. Verify sufficient funds in your broker account.
  3. Ensure all live-deployed algos are in active mode.

Entry & Exit Rules

  1. Avoid “One-Click” auto methods; use live auto mode for accurate P&L matching.
  2. Exit positions only via Tradetron (except on Tradetron error days).
  3. Start algos outside market hours (before open or after close) to secure correct entry prices.

Pre-Live Deployment

  1. Paper-trade the strategy initially to understand its behavior.
  2. Conduct a few days of live offline trades to measure slippage.
  3. Deploy in live auto mode only after validating offline results.

Broker Guidelines

  1. Use any Tradetron-linked broker; check API charges and brokerage with your broker.
  2. If live auto mode frequently errors, investigate your broker’s connectivity.
  3. For broker-related issues, contact Tradetron support and your broker.
