Important Guidelines for Algo Trading on Tradetron
Daily 9 AM Checklist
- Confirm your API Token has been successfully renewed on the Tradetron Broker and exchange page. If not, generate a new token and complete authorization.
- Ensure there are sufficient funds in your broker account.
- Verify that all live-deployed algorithms are in active mode.
Entry and Exit Rules
- Avoid One-Click Mode: The Live Auto One Click method is not recommended as its calculations may not align with P&L records. Use Live Auto mode instead.
- Exit Protocol: Exit all algorithm positions through Tradetron only, except on days with Tradetron errors.
- Start Time: Begin algorithms outside of market hours (before or after) to maintain consistent entries.
Pre-Live Trading Checklist
- Paper Trading: Begin with paper trading to understand the strategy’s mechanics.
- Live Offline Trading: After paper trading, conduct live offline trades to account for potential slippage.
- Live Auto Deployment: Move to live auto deployment once comfortable with the strategy.
Brokers Compatible with Tradetron
- Use any broker linked with Tradetron, but consult them regarding any API charges or brokerage details.
- If frequent errors occur in Live Auto Mode, check with your broker for possible issues.
