Strategy description
Expiry Strategy Overview
The Expiry Strategy is designed to operate on multiple indices, with trades assigned by weekday:
- Monday: Bankex
- Tuesday: FinNifty
- Wednesday: BankNifty
- Thursday: Nifty
- Friday: Sensex
The strategy takes a single directional out-of-the-money (OTM) short position each day, hedged with a long leg for risk management. Regardless of outcome, only one trade is executed per day.
- Entry Time: After 9:45 AM when specific conditions are met (entry is not time-based)
- Exit Time: Between 2:30 PM and 3:01 PM when exit conditions are met
- Capital Requirement: ₹25,000 per multiplier (X)
- Maximum Loss per Day: ₹1,000 per multiplier (X)
- Expected Drawdown: Approximately 15%
User Responsibilities
Capital Buffer: Users are advised to maintain an additional 5-10% of capital above the recommended amount to manage potential capital increases, especially during high-volatility days (e.g., rising VIX days). Proper capital allocation and generating a token between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM help ensure smooth execution in most cases.
Error Management: In case of deployment errors, users will receive notifications via WhatsApp or a call from Tradetron. Check the notification log in the deployment and address any issues promptly. If needed, support is available through the provided Telegram group.
Algo Awareness for Users
In Tradetron, while the strategy logic remains consistent, individual outcomes may vary based on entry strikes and prices. For instance, if one user enters at a strike of 300 and another at 305, adjustments and end results may differ. Over time, these variations generally even out across users.
To optimize net returns, users are encouraged to consider low-cost or zero-brokerage brokers. Reliable API connectivity is also crucial to minimize execution issues. We are available to provide feedback on broker selection and cost optimization.
