How do I connect my broker? StrixDomVX15

Ask TT AI

You connect your broker on the Broker & Exchanges page using Add Broker, and you follow that broker's own setup guide. Connecting a broker is free.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Open Broker & Exchanges: Sign in - Tradetron

This thread is public, so please don't post account IDs, broker IDs, API keys or passwords here. Tradetron and its support team will never ask for your broker login.

Steps to connect

  1. On Broker & Exchanges, click Add Broker, pick your broker and click Next.
  2. Open the broker's Setup link. It tells you:
    • which fields to fill in
    • whether you need a fixed IP (a virtual server)
    • how often the token needs renewing
  3. Enter your credentials and save. If your broker needs a token, generate it.
  4. Check that the broker's card now shows its status.

Generating the token

  1. On Broker & Exchanges, click Generate Token, the auth link or the regenerate icon on the broker's card.
  2. Log in on the broker's page that opens, then wait for the "token generated" message.

How often you need a new token depends on the broker. Its card shows this, along with Last Updated. For example:

  • Zerodha, IIFL and 5paisa need a new token every trading day, generated after 8:30 AM and before 9:00 AM.
  • Groww and Dhan: each trading day, create the access token on the broker's side and paste it into the broker's card. Groww doesn't use Generate Token.
  • Delta India V2 renews once a month.

If your broker needs a registered IP (virtual server)

Some brokers only accept orders from a registered IP. For those you need a virtual server (formerly called Static IP):

  • Price: Rs. 100 for 1 month, Rs. 250 for 3 months or Rs. 1000 for 1 year.
  • GST: 18% is added if you pay online. Paying from the wallet adds no GST.

To set it up:

  1. Save the broker first, using placeholder values if you need to. The virtual server option only appears after saving.
  2. Click the pencil on the broker's card, then Enable virtual server.
  3. Choose a plan and click Pay with wallet or Pay online.
  4. Click Email server details on the card, then add the IP from that email to your broker's allowed (whitelisted) IPs.
  5. Replace any placeholder values with your real credentials.

Good to know

  • You can add several different brokers, but only one account per broker.
  • Live trading needs a paid plan, except with Nuvama, INDmoney or Delta Exchange, which are free.
  • To test without placing real orders, deploy in Live Offline mode. Any of your brokers works for that.
  • FlatTrade approves the API key manually, and Sharekhan's support links your IP to your account. Their setup guides explain this.

If your broker isn't in the Add Broker list, first check your Broker & Exchanges page, because brokers you've already added don't show up in that list. If it's still missing, or the token won't generate or shows a 502 or 504 error, use the chat on tradetron.tech and I can connect you to a live support agent.
