Limit the number of open positions with the Open Positions keyword

Keywords & logic 2 views

The Open Positions keyword limits how many trades are open at once (one, or more). With a list, it controls how many stocks in the list are trading (have had an order placed).

Limitation

It only works when there is a delay between the positions of two instruments. If signals for all instruments come at the same time, the keyword will not work. In that case, the only way to limit positions is to make the list smaller.

To limit how many times one entry can fire (rather than how many positions are open), use a runtime variable as a counter.
