To test a strategy without real orders, deploy it in Live Offline. It runs on live market data and records every trade, but sends nothing to the exchange. The old “Paper Trading” execution type and “TT Paper Trading” broker have been replaced by Live Offline.
Steps
- Go to Strategies and click Create to build your strategy.
- If you have no broker account, add any broker on Broker & Exchanges with dummy credentials.
- On My Strategies, click Deploy next to your strategy.
- Set Execution Type to Live Offline, pick the broker and click Deploy.
- Open the Deployed page. The strategy shows as Live Offline and Active, and will trade when its entry condition is met.
The deploy screenshots above may still show the old Paper Trading option; choose Live Offline instead.
Good to know
- The Free plan allows one deployment at a time.
- Live Offline fills at LTP, so results will not exactly match Live Auto.
