I want to use Tradingview placeholder in tradetron strategy through get runtime keyword in condition builder and position builder. when i place the webhook key as mentioned in creating tradingview alerts, it properly retrieves the placeholder’s data whether it be alpha/numeric type. but whenever i then use the placeholder name in the tradetron in the get runtime keyword it is not retrieving the placeholder value in the position builder in the buy and sell limit order , stop loss . please assist me in the same.

Get Runtime inside an Fx formula in the Position builder works only when the position builder is set to QTY, not LOTS or VALUE. With LOTS or VALUE it returns nothing.

Also check:

  1. The key in your TradingView alert is the variable name you read with Get Runtime. Keys must start with key/value, then key1/value1, key2/value2.
  2. For prices, use Get Runtime Number (Get Runtime returns text).
  3. Check the deployment’s ⋮ menu → Runtime Data. If the variable shows there, the webhook works and the problem is in the builder.
