How to select AND & OR on strategies in a group

In the Condition Builder you join conditions with AND or OR, and you can group them in brackets.

What each one means

• AND: every condition must be true on the same check. Use it for entries, e.g. “time is after 9:30 AND close is above EMA”.
• OR: any one condition is enough. Use it for exits, e.g. “target hit OR stop-loss hit OR time is 3:15”.

How to build it

1. Add your first condition (keyword, comparator, value).
2. Add the next condition and pick AND or OR between them.
3. To mix both, put conditions in a group (bracket) so the logic reads like (A AND B) OR C.

Example

Exit when target or stop-loss is hit, but only after 9:30:
Time('NSE') >= Number(930) AND ( target condition OR stop-loss condition )

Common mistake: an entry that never fires usually has an AND where an OR was meant (or the other way round). Check what each line returned in the Notification Log while running in Live Offline.
