NIFTY Trend Master – Positional Options Trend-Following Strategy

This is a trend-following, positional options strategy on the NIFTY 50 designed to capture sustained market moves while managing risk effectively. The system identifies market trends using technical indicators and dynamically adjusts option positions to align with the prevailing trend.

Strategy Logic

Bullish Trend

  • Buys NIFTY Call Options (CE)
  • Positions are held as long as the bullish trend persists

Bearish Trend

  • Buys NIFTY Put Options (PE)
  • Exit occurs when the trend reverses or predefined exit conditions are met

LTP & Technical-Based Entries

  • Entry and exit points are determined using trend confirmation indicators, including:
    • Moving averages
    • Momentum oscillators
    • Volatility filters
  • Option strike selection is dynamically based on:
    • Current NIFTY LTP
    • Trend strength
    • Market volatility

This allows the strategy to adapt efficiently to changing market conditions.

Risk Management

  • Fixed % Target: Helps secure profits at predefined levels
  • Fixed % Stop Loss: Controls downside risk
  • Optional Hedging: Far OTM options may be used to reduce overall risk exposure
