Error Execution means Tradetron sent an order to your broker but did not get a clear reply. The order may have been placed, rejected, or still be pending. Tradetron pauses the strategy so it does not place a duplicate or wrong trade.
Act quickly
While in Error Execution, the strategy places no new orders, including exits. If the market moves, your strategy will not react until you fix it.
Step 1 – Check your broker first
Open your broker’s order book and see whether the order was placed. Your next step depends on this.
Step 2 – Click Manage and choose an option
Completed Manually
Use when the order is already done at the broker. Enter the execution price so Tradetron’s P&L and positions match your broker.
Try Again
Use when the order was not placed and you still want it. Tradetron resends it. Fix the cause first (token, margin, credentials), or it will fail again. Do not use it if the order already went through. You will get a duplicate.
Cancel
Use when you no longer want this trade. It skips this signal and the strategy waits for the next one. It does not cancel anything at the broker, so check for position mismatches.
Market hours only. Use these options during market hours. After market close, the strategy may go into Exit Pending.
Why does it happen?
Open the Notification Log to see the broker’s exact reply. Common causes:
- Invalid or expired API credentials
- Token not generated, or session expired (generate it after 8:30 AM and before 9:00 AM)
- RMS rejection by the broker
- Not enough margin
- Broker delays or timeouts
A clear rejection message means the broker got the order and refused it. If the message is unclear, check the broker’s order book.
